Clearing Activity and Live Traffic Logs

WP Cerber’s logs play an essential role in monitoring your website’s activity and traffic for potential threats and malicious actors. They help WP Cerber’s algorithms identify suspicious behavior and safeguard your site, but over time, these logs can grow significantly and consume valuable database space.

This article explains how to safely clear the Activity and Live Traffic logs in WP Cerber. Follow these steps carefully, keeping in mind that these actions are irreversible.

Instead of emptying log tables, consider optimizing WP Cerber settings to reduce their size: Managing Log Tables for a Healthy WordPress Database. Adjusting settings like log retention periods or disabling unnecessary logging options can prevent excessive table growth.

If you notice your log tables growing uncontrollably, it could indicate an issue with WordPress cron tasks. To diagnose and resolve this issue, refer to the following guide: Why Your Log Tables Are Growing and How to Fix It.

Important Note

The following operations are permanent and cannot be undone. Proceed with caution.

Deleting All Activity Log Records

To completely delete all records from the Activity log, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the WP Cerber → Tools page in your WordPress admin dashboard.
  2. Click on the Diagnostic tab.
  3. Locate the Database info section and find the title: Table: cerber_log, rows: xxxx.
  4. Click the Delete all rows button next to it.

This action will permanently remove all Activity log entries stored in the database.
